CSR Board Members Receive Multiple Awards

Michael Swartz and Robin Judd

The Center for the Study of Religion congratulates Robin Judd and Michael Swartz on multiple prestigious awards!

Robin Judd has won two National Jewish Book Awards for her recent book Between Two Worlds: Jewish War Brides after the Holocaust (UNC Press, 2023) in Writing Based on Archival Material and in Women Studies.

Michael Swartz has been awarded an National Endowment for the Humanities (NEH) fellowship for his work on a book about ritual expertise and social structure among the Jewish community in Roman Palestine (third to sixth century CE).

 

Robin Judd is an Associate Professor in the Department of History. Michael Swartz is a Professor in Department of Near Eastern and South Asian Languages and Cultures. Both Judd and Swartz are current CSR Board members.
